Run to God & Praise Him

Psalm 7:1 O LORD my God, in You I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me
Psalm 7:17 I will give thanks to the LORD according to His righteousness And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

David starts this Psalm off by running to God for refuge, for he is being pursued by false accusations.  He says if God was not there to run to, he would be torn apart by his enemies.  He tells God he is had done nothing wrong and pleads for God to help him.  That had he done something wrong, he would admit it and make it right.  When tough times come, run to God.  Take refuge in Him.  Trust in Him to fight off the people who are pursuing you.  Cling to the goodness of God.

When you are there, taking refuge in Him, make sure to praise Him and thank Him for how good He is.  That is how David ends this Psalm.  He praises God for His righteousness and praises the name of the Most High God.  When we pause to praise Him and worship Him, we get a better perspective of things.  We realize how great God is and how little our enemy is.  God will see us through no matter what.  He is all knowing and knows the truth.  Nobody can fool God!

Who care what others think of us!  It is more important to be concerned about what our great and awesome and all powerful God thinks of you.  He loves you enough to have laid down His life for you, in order that your sins would be cleansed and wiped out.  Have you come to Him by faith and accepted this free gift of salvation?  If so, cling to Jesus and sing His praises and give thanks to Him for all that He has done!  If not, you had better worry about what God thinks of you.  He is righteous God, who hates sin.  If your sins are not forgiven, God does not what you in his presence.  Your sin reeks and God cannot stand the smell of sin.  At the judgement you will be sent away from Him forever and ever.  Make today the day you call on God to save you.  Confess you a sinner and need Him to save you.  And He will!  And you will live with Him forever and ever!
