Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Come quickly Lord Jesus. What a day that will be! The trumpets will sound and we will be caught up in the air with Him (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18). We will be with Him forever and ever. I so look forward to that day. All the troubles of this world will be over. In verse 18 of 1 Thessalonians 4, Paul says to “comfort one another with these words”. I don’t know about you, but the thought of Jesus returning is comforting to to me.
Is it comforting to you or is it terrifying to think that Jesus is coming back to reign and judge? If it is not comforting, you are probably not among those who will be caught up in the air with Him. You probably are not saved. Make this day, the last of 2016 the day where you accept Jesus as your savior. The day where you are born again. This same Jesus, who says that He is coming quickly, came to earth as a baby. He lived a perfect life and died a sacrificial death as the perfect, spotless Lamb of God. I couldn’t die for your sins, because I am not perfect. I have my own sins to worry about. God needed a perfect sacrifice, one without any sin. That was Jesus, He died for my sins and your sins. He shed His blood to wash our sins away. Our sins earn us Hell, but Jesus paid the price for all of our sins. Confess you are a sinner and call out to Him to save you. He is the only way for us to be saved from the pit of Hell.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
If you are not saved, I urge you to the end the year right and have Jesus wipe out your sins today and start the New Year fresh.
As John said, “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.”!!!!!!!
Revelation 21:4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
There will be no more tears, no more pain, no more heartbreak, no more death, no more lacking or fulfillment. All of these will happen no more in Heaven. All the evil and sin, will be locked away in the lake of fire. We will know only joy and happiness. We will be with Jesus forever and ever. He will satisfy us and fulfill us.
I so look forward to that day. To be at home with Jesus! Come soon Lord Jesus!
Revelation 20:10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
In the third chapter of Genesis, we are introduced to the Devil. We see his wicked schemes all the way up through to the third to last chapter of Revelation. It is there that we see what his end will be. He will be thrown into a like of fire and tormented for eternity. They will be no letting up. He will be joined by the Anti-Christ and the false prophet there. Also, everyone who ever lived and did not receive Jesus as their savior will be there. All will be tormented day and night forever and ever. They will continually curse God, thus proving that they never will learn their lesson.
As Christians, we deserve the same fate. I deserve to be in that lake with Satan. Only by the grace of God am I saved from it. The next time you tell somebody you are saved, think about what you are saved from. You are saved from this lake of fire, instead you will be living with God forever. Praise God! If you do not know Jesus as your personal savior, I pray reading this will be a wake up call for you. You can still be saved. Cry out to Jesus and ask Him to save you, confessing that you are a sinner and He is your only hope to be saved from this torment.
Revelation 19:6 Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, ” Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.
What a sight in Heaven it will be. Multitudes of people, from every tribe and tongue, will be assembled to worship their King. What a sound. Millions and millions of people at the same time say the same thing. Our voices will echo like thunder and will roar words of praise. Hallelujah!!!
Jesus is about to mount up to go defeat Satan. He’s got His robe on which says “King of Kings and Lord of Lords”. The redeemed are His bride all dressed in white. Hallelujah! Our Lord reigns! What a day! I cannot wait!

Nehemiah 13:14 Remember me for this, O my God, and do not blot out my loyal deeds which I have performed for the house of my God and its services.
Three times in this chapter Nehemiah asks God to remember all that he is doing for God. He had just returned to the land and saw how the people had forgotten to follow God. He goes about righting the wrongs and for each one asks God to remember what he is doing. Later in the chapter he asks God to remember how people had defiled the priesthood, by sinning.
God does not forget. He knows all of what we have done, both the good and the bad. We will all be before the judgement seat and our deeds will be judged. For unbelievers, they will be judged to hell. For believers, we will be rewarded for the areas we were faithful.
Remember and do not forget, that God is all knowing and all of our lives are before Him. He knows all, there is no hiding anything from Him. Live your life appropriately.
Nehemiah 9:33 “However, You are just in all that has come upon us; For You have dealt faithfully, but we have acted wickedly.
God is just, no matter what happens in our lives. In Chapter 9 of Nehemiah, the people are confessing their national sins, from the time they left Egypt to the current time of returning from exile. They listed how they sinned and God was compassionate and forgave them. Three times the phrase “your great compassion” is used and another time it is “your compassion”. God forgave them and delivered them time after time after time. However eventually the Israelite’s needed to learn their lesson. After the time for their punishment had ended God, once again had compassion on them and restored people to the land. A new temple was built and the walls were put back up around Jerusalem.
How similar are our lives. Time after time God has had compassion on us when we sin. Time after time he rescues us from the pit we are in. No matter what mess you are in right now, remember God is just. He has every right to walk away from us in our mess, He is Just. But God, promised to never leave you nor forsake you. Cry out to Him to show you His great compassion. He is faithful and loves us. His ways are for our best and we need to trust Him.

10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 “This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Trust in the Baby in the Manger … He is full of Hope!
Trust in the Man who hung on the Cross … He is full of Love!
Trust in the Man who rose from the Gave … He is full of Power!
Trust in the Man who sits at the right hand of the Father … He is Faithful!
Trust in the Man who is coming back to reign one day … He is King!
Happy Birthday Jesus!
Matthew 1:21 “She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
We end where we began, with God. We began with God the Father and we end our journey with God the Son. Today we celebrate the birth of Jesus. He came to save His people from their sins. The Christmas story is more than just a baby lying in a manger. It’s about God, creator of all, invading His creation, to lead them back to Himself. It’s about God, making a way for our sins to be forgiven. It’s about God sending His own Son, to be a sacrificial lamb, to die for my sins and yours. It’s about God loving you so much He did that.
As we celebrate His birthday today, let us remember the immense love which is behind the whole story.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life”
That is what the Christmas story is all about. God’s love for you and me!

Matthew 2:11 …Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of…myrrh.
What a strange gift for a baby; myrrh. Myrrh is a oil used to prepare a body for burial. It is not something usually given to a new born. This wiseman knew however, that this baby was born to die. He knew the prophecies of Isaiah, which predicted that the Messiah would be a suffering servant. He knew God’s Son was born to die for our sins.
These magi were very wise. They understood Jesus. That He was the king, the priest and suffering servant all in one. Do you know Jesus in those roles? You should. The more we know about Jesus, could change our lives. Knowing who Jesus is makes us understand the Christmas story better.

Matthew 2:11 …Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of… frankincense…
The second wiseman gave Jesus a gift of frankincense. This gift signified that Jesus was to be our High Priest. It was used by priests to offer sacrifices to God. Jesus, today, is at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. The book of Hebrews lays a great case for Jesus being the High Priest.
Jesus sacrificed His body once for all, for our sins. He is the great sacrificial Lamb of God. The priests in the Old Testament were always making sacrifices to atone for the people. Jesus did it one time for all. His sacrifice covers all of our sins. We must choose to apply it our sins, by coming to Him by faith.
