Written in the Sky

Psalm 108:4-5
4 For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the skies. 5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And Your glory above all the earth.

People for many years have looked to the sky to tell them things, like the weather and which direction they are heading.  However, the most important thing we can see in the sky is the glory of God.  Everyday, it is written or painted there.  The sky is God’s masterpiece, He paints it a fresh everyday.  And everyday it tells of His wonders and greatness.

Some days, we see terror in the sky, as a storm rolls in.  When the storm passes, God put His rainbow in the sky to reassure us of His faithfulness.  He first put in the sky following the flood, as a sign of His promise to never flood the whole earth again.  This promise is written into the sky, it brings us peace and relief.  We can apply it to when bad things happen in our lives, that we know the peace of God will come after it.

The night sky is filled with the stars and the moon.  It is amazing when you think of how far those stars are from here.  It is even more amazing to think of that the presence of God, is the same there as it is here.  No matter where we go, God is always there.  Even to the farthest galaxy, God is there.  How awesome is that!?

Dear God, what wonders You put in the sky.  They are there, that we might worship You.  They are they that we might find comfort in You.  They are there, so we might know how vast You are.  I thank you that there is no where we can go, that You are not.  You are always with us, where ever we are.  You are so amazing!  Amen.
