Planted

Psalm 1:2-3
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Happy New Year!

The new year always brings on promises and resolutions to change our lives, that mostly fail by the end of the month.  With that said, let me encourage you to have a commitment to read the Bible every day this year.  Even if you forget one day, it’s OK, get back and start reading again.  It something that will change your life for the better.

These verses tell us to delight in God’s Word and if we do that will God consider us blessed.  When we read the Word, study it, chew on it, memorize it; it deepens our foundation and we are more firmly planted.  That when the winds blow and tough times come, we will able to stand firm, knowing God’s is with us and knowing His promises to see us through.  God nourishes our souls as we read it.  He gives us what we need to be strong and healthy Christians.  (This does not mean we will not face hard times or get sick.  Bad times will come, but God promises to stick by us during it and help us get through.)

Join with me on the exciting journey this year and let’s read through the Bible together!
