Choosing to Seek God

1 Chronicles 28:9 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

God is available.  He is not hard to find.  He is close by you, only a step away.  He is waiting for you to come find him.  He is there.  The hard thing is not to know how to find Him, but choosing to find Him.  That is the hang up.  You can find God, if you choose to seek Him.

That is the question we all must answer in our lives.  Do we want to seek God or hide from Him?  How we decide this for ourselves determines where we will spend eternity.  The choice is yours to make.  If you seek God with all of your heart, you will find Him and He will save you.  If you choose to reject Him, He will reject you.

Choose wisely!

Oh Father, I thank you that You are near and available for us to seek You.  I thank you for all that You have done to save me.  Help me to seek You with all of my heart.  May those who read this and have not chosen, help them to choose wisely.  Amen

Anytime

Psalm 55:17 Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain and murmur, And He will hear my voice.

Anytime you need God, He is there for you.  God does not take breaks.  God does not need nor take vacations.  He is never too busy to hear.  God is available 24/7.  He is always there.  There is never a time that our prayers are not heard by Him.

The prophet Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal to a show down.  They each were to build an altar and call on their God.  The God that set the altar on fire, would tell the people who the one true God.  The prophets of Baal called out all day and into the night and had no answer.  Elijah mocked the prophets, telling them that maybe Baal was going to the bathroom and they would need to call louder.  Elijah would eventually take his turn and called out to God.  God responded by sending flames from Heaven to ignite the altar.  God is always there for us, day or night.  He hears us all of the time.  He is always available.

Dear God, I thank you that You always hear.  Thank you that You are always available to us.  Thank you for the gift of prayer, with which we can communicate with You.  Amen.
