God’s House

Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”

Are you glad when it is time to go to church, to God’s house?  Is going to church a chore for you or something you look forward to?  I must admit, I have times of both.  Sometimes I really do not feel like going.  I go to once a month Bible study and sometimes after a long day of work, I do not feel like going.  However, it those times, when I feel the most blessed for having gone.  Satan works hard to keep us from going to God’s House.  He does not want us there.  His goal is keep us away, especially if the church we go to is a solid, Bible believing/preaching church.  If our church is more like a country club, that people get together to have their ears tickled, he does mind us going there.

Going to His House, re-centers us in our walk with Him.  It reminds us of who we are and who God is.  We go there and worship, our great God.  We go there and are fed by our pastors.  We go there and pray as a body, for all of our good.  We need to spend time in His House.  We need to spend time with the people of God.  As long as you are healthy enough, do not let anything deter you from going.  It will do you good.

Thank you, Oh Lord for Your House and the people that meet there.  It is so awesome to worship You with our fellow brothers and sisters.  Help us to make it there and do not let us be hindered by the evil one.  May we go there and hear Your word.  Bless our pastors, who teach us.  Give them a good week of study, so that we might be fed well.  Bless them and their families.  Amen.
