God’s Lovingkindness

Psalm 107:43 Who is wise? Let him give heed to these things, And consider the lovingkindnesses of the LORD.

Are you a wise person?  If so, then consider all of the ways God is kind to us.  God made us and loves us.  He has patience with us when we wonder from Him and gives us grace that we may return.  He provides for all of our needs.  He gives us an abundance of good, even if we are ungrateful at times.  He offers us a gift of salvation, paid for in full by His Son.  God causes the sun to shine and the rain to fall.  God is really kind  to us, because of His great love.

These are but a few of the ways which God shows His lovingkindness to us.  There are many, many more.  In fact, we are not even aware of all of the ways God does this.  God’s ways are best and we need to trust Him to take care of us.  He will do that.  God will take care of you.  Even when you are the midst of great suffering, God is taking care of you and seeing you through.  He promises to be there by your side and God always keeps His promises.  Even when we do not always agree in the manner in the way He does it.  It is for our best, because He is a loving Father.

As God has done kind things to you and me, we need to do them to others in His name.  God does kind things for us, so that we might pass them on.  We need to do what God is doing and that includes loving other people (especially the unlovable (which because of sin, we all are to God)) and do kind things for them.

Thank you Lord, for Your lovingkindness.  For all of the things You do for me, which I take for granted.  Forgive for being ungrateful at times.  Thank you for being faithful to me, even when all I can see is myself.  Your lovingkindness is so amazing, as You are.  There is no one like You.  Help me to pass on Your lovingkindness to others.  Help me to love others, as You have loved me.  Amen.
