Psalm 69:13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O LORD, at an acceptable time; O God, in the greatness of Your lovingkindness, Answer me with Your saving truth.
David felt as though he was drowning in a world of despair. He felt as though he had no hope and the world was out for the kill. That is until he remembered his God. When he prayed to God, he had his hope restored. He knew God had heard him and that God loved him and cared for him. He saw his prayers to God as a life preserver, to help him keep afloat until God rescued him.
No matter how bad things are, God can help you. He is our only hope. Jesus told the story of two houses. One of them had a foundation of sand. When the storms of life came in collapsed. The other was built on a rock. The storms had no effect on this one. Jesus is that rock. When we build our lives on Him, we have hope and we will not be collapse until intense pressure. Jesus will hold us firm. Trust in Him and allow His peace and hope to fill you and lead you.
Thank You, Lord for hearing our prayers. Thank you for being our hope. Thank you for filling us with hope. Thank you for rescuing us when the waters overwhelm us. We would drown in despair if it was not for you. Blessed be Your name, Oh Jesus! Amen
